French Links Exclusive Culinary Programs

If you happen to be a food connoisseur, or simply a ravenous foodie, then you are sure to enjoy our culinary tours which give you access to all the major actors in French gastronomy: restaurateurs, farmers, wine producers, bread bakers, chocolate makers, pastry chefs, and food distributors of all kinds, be they in Paris, Normandy, Burgundy, or Provence.

Rachel Kaplan's expertise and knowledge has already led us to organize a 10-day Paris-Burgundy Grand Crus program for Andrew Harper in 2009, as well as professional tours for award-winning restaurants in both the United States and Great Britain.

With French Links Tours, you will be able to visit the largest food distribution halls in the world at Rungis, discover cider and cheese producers in Normandy, and spend the day with makers of honey, olive oil, goat cheese, and truffle hunters in Provence. If you are interested in the development of organic food in France, you will not only visit organic food markets but have the opportunity to meet and speak with the producers and distributors of organic fruits, vegetables, and dry groceries.

If you love to cook, we have a variety of cooking classes on offer, ranging from simple French cooking to learning how to prepare a meal with a two-star Michelin chef. If you have sweet tooth, we can organize a baking/confectionary making course, where you can learn how to make chocolate macarons and truffles in a single afternoon.

Wine lovers can enjoy exclusive wine tastings in Paris, but also take customized private tours in Champagne, Bordeaux, Burgundy and Provence, which allow you to discover the finest French wines from the terroir to the bottle. You will have a chance to meet leading vintners and cellar-masters, and taste the difference between a Cru Bourgeois and a Grand Cru. By the time you end your trip, you will have tasted the best France has to offer, gaining invaluable knowledge every morsel and sip of the way.
